Acid traction batteries with positive ironclad plates and acid traction batteries with positive pasted plates are made in polypropylene vessels with a welded monolid. These are light traction batteries manufactured by “S.I.A.P.” according to the criteria used in the production of high power traction batteries. These batteries are easy to use and to handle, they are light, of high capacity and, in the case of traction batteries with positive ironclad plates, characterized by long life.
These batteries are used, among others, for washing units and GOLF CAR type vehicles. Upon the customer’s request, “S.I.A.P.” can expand the range of produced traction batteries, taking into account specific requirements.

Traction hermetic GEL batteries with positive pasted plates are tightly sealed, with valve regulated internal pressure (VRLA). These batteries are characterized by the electrolyte bound in the form of a gel by means of high-dispersion pyrolytic silica. Due to this form of electrolyte, no harmful fumes are emitted during the battery operation.
These battery packs are used, among others, for washing units, in small photovoltaic solutions or in power backup systems. They are suitable for places with specific air protection requirements. Upon the customer’s request, “S.I.A.P.” can expand the range of produced traction batteries, taking into account specific requirements.

The cells and traction batteries offered by SIAP are available in DIN and BS standards. Depending on the workmanship technology, we offer traditional acid cells and batteries with liquid electrolyte (APH, BS) and cells and batteries with silica bonded electrolyte, so-called gel cells and batteries (EPzV, EPzV-BS). Both types of the cells have tubolar positive plates in which the positive active mass is in a multi-tubular housing, substantially increasing the plate’s useful life. The negative plate is a classic grid pasted with negative active mass.
The plates are separated by means of a sleeve separator pulled over the positive plate. The sleeve separator effectively eliminates the risk of a lateral short circuit.
The gel cell elements (cores and grids) are made with lead-calcium alloy. The appropriate lead alloy, silica bonded electrolyte and the valve adjusted by the cell’s internal pressure placed in the plug cause that the gas emission from such cells is scarce.
The batteries composed of gel cells are applied wherever the use of classic acid cells is restricted by health and safety or sanitary rules. The application of gel cells reduces the time necessary for their maintenance. As the adjustment of the electrolyte density is not necessary, any accidental electrolyte leakages are prevented.
Traction battery packs provide energy to propel electric vehicles moving mainly inside workplaces, shipyards, warehouses, etc. and forklifts.

Basing on the long-term experience at the production of cells, „S.I.A.P.” Sp. z o.o. offers stationary cells. The batteries built of stationary cells are used, without limitation, as emergency power-supply systems and solar batteries. The robust structure, proven technology and material used provide long-term life of the battery.
The cells used in the stationary batteries are offered in two versions:
– classic batteries with basic element in the form of liquid electrolyte cells (OPzS),
– fully automatic batteries composed of VRLA cells with silica as the electrolyte binding element (OPzV).
The advantages of stationary batteries OPzS include: easy visual control (transparent vessel), higher resistance to temperature, compared to their gel equivalents, long life, up to 20 years or 1200 cycles. Stationary batteries OPzV are characterized with simpler servicing operation (the electrolyte level supplementation is not required) and due to low gas emission may be installed in rooms, together with recharging and receiver equipment.
